My Journey Through ADHD Paralysis: Finding Balance in the Chaos with Words of Virgo's Wisdom

My Virgo is Showing

I’ve always been fascinated by astrology, though I’ll be the first to admit that I’m no expert. Still, I believe in its power and its impact on my experiences. Checking my horoscope has become a ritual for me. Recently, it offered some poignant advice that I couldn’t ignore.

Embracing Astrology, Self-Care, and Small Steps to Regain Control

Aug 1, 2024 - You may feel a bit of a creative block now, Virgo, but don't view this as a signal to stop pursuing your artistic goals. The truth of the matter is that discipline is all that's needed to manifest the things you really want. Don't let other people's energies get in the way of where you are now and where you want to be. Get back in the flow.

I've been dealing with a serious case of ADHD paralysis lately (you’ll see this theme pop up often in my blogs). My room is a disaster, my brain feels like it's in a fog, and I’m struggling to balance my roles as a parent and a friend. Everything feels like it’s spiraling.

I hate this feeling. I feel exhausted and sub-par as a parent. My son is struggling with his own battles, and my horoscopes lately have been so reflective of that. July was a tough month for me—between the sickness, the Seattle-like rain for days, and feeling completely defeated in so many instances.

This week has been incredibly challenging. Honestly, July was a tough month overall.

I've been dealing with a serious case of ADHD paralysis. My room is a mess, my brain is in a fog, my confidence is low, and I’m struggling to juggle my roles as a parent and a friend. Everything feels like it’s spiraling out of control. (Not me picturing the metaphorical reference of Twister, in the movie Twister, which I just saw and was so good, by the way.) The energy I pick up from others is overwhelming, adding to the weight I carry.

There’s a pile of laundry in the corner, and dishes are stacked high in the sink. It’s as if my environment is reflecting my internal chaos. I’ve felt disconnected and foggy, unable to focus on even the simplest tasks. Parenting has been a challenge—I feel like I’m not present enough for my kids. Being a supportive friend feels almost impossible when I can’t even support myself.

The mess in my room mirrors the mess in my mind. I’ve been feeling burdened by others’ energies, something I usually find exhilarating. But this week, it’s been too much. I feel like I’m carrying a weight that isn’t mine. I need to get back in the flow, as my horoscope suggests.
